Window World Cares helps raise $160,000 for
St. Jude Children's Hospital

Window World Cares, the Charitable Foundation of Window World presented a check to St. Jude Children's Hospital in the amount of $160,000.

After the presentation, some of Window World's corporate team members were given a VIP tour of parts of the 65-acre campus that encompasses St. Jude, and were fortunate enough to meet staff in the research and care facilities. Impressive to say the least, Window World corporate team members observed many very positive and powerful experiences. "We are very lucky to be partnered with St. Jude, and we look forward to great things in 2009 and beyond." said Todd Whitworth, CEO and owner of Window World, Inc.

Visiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during this time of the year has left a mark on all those from Window World involved, as it seems each of those individuals left very thankful for the health of our loved ones and that such a great place like St. Jude's exists to treat kids that need special care. As David McKee said to us, we are all part of the St. Jude family now. To learn more about Window World Cares, visit windowworldcares.com.

Window World is partnered with Veterans Airlift Command...

Window World. Inc. joined forces with Veterans Airlift Command to provide free air transportation for Iraq War veteran, Corporal Zachary Briseno, as a part of his continuing rehabilitation. Briseno was flown from Wilmington, North Carolina to his home in Fort Worth, Texas, accompanied by his new service dog, Eve, who will help him with day-to-day tasks. Briseno lost both of his legs below the knees almost a year ago in an IED attack in Fallujah.

"I know that corporate jet ownership has come under scrutiny of late," said Todd Whitworth, CEO of Window World. "We try to take every opportunity to use the good fortune of our company to support the community. Zac, and the other men and women in uniform today, embody the very highest ideals of American sacrifice and conviction." Briseno was joined on the flight by his son, Elijah and his mother, Mariana Rice.

Johnny Johnston, senior pilot of the Window World aircraft, enjoyed the privilege of meeting Zach and his family on this voyage. "I had 23 years of military service, including flying Chinook helicopters during my tour in Vietnam," said Johnston. "To see the next generation step up and serve gives me tremendous pride."

Briseno will continue his rehabilitation in Texas. He plans a career in law enforcement.

Window World is partnered with Veterans Airlift Command on an ongoing basis.
